Little Millet (Chama)

Chama — little millet — a fine-grained rain-fed millet grown alongside thina on the Palakkad dry-belt. Cleaned and lightly polished, with most of the bran intact. Higher in fibre than rice, gentle on the gut, and the traditional Kerala recovery food after illness or fasting.
